Q. How Does A Chiropractor Adjust My Spine?
A. Using special positioning techniques, the doctor will apply pressure to the areas
that are out of alignment or that do not move properly within their normal range of motion. This is done on a specially designed
table or sometimes in a chair.
Q. How Long Will It Take To Get Well?
A. This will depend on whether you are talking about your
symptoms or the underlying cause of your problem. Symptoms usually decrease within a short period of time. However, if a spinal
condition has existed for a period of time, correction may take longer than the symptoms take to disappear. Variables that
affect how soon you respond to treatment include; how long the problem has been there, daily activities, age of the patient and underlying
pathologies, to name a few.
Q. Will I Be Able To Work During Treatment?
A. In most cases, yes. However, it will be
determined if your work environment is suitable for your recovery. It may be suggested that you change some of your work
duties to allow for more complex conditions to rest from their daily rigor. In extreme cases, it will be suggested that
you take a short break from your work duties until the condition has stabilized.
