While headaches can have different causes, the majority of headaches respond to chiropractic care. This occurs because most
headaches have a muscular component and those muscles get their nerves from the spine. When the spacing between vertebrae is
compromised, nerves become irritated or pinched and that affects the muscles those nerves go to. It doesn't matter if the headache
is mainly in the forehead, the temples or behind the head, muscles tension can be felt in one or more places or even all the
way around the head, leading to tremendous headaches.
Dr. Talmadge is experienced in determining whether the cause of most headaches have
a spinal component and could be caused by improper alignment of the spine. If your headaches have such a basis,
chiropractic care can be very effective in reducing or eliminating your pain. If not, Dr. Talmadge will refer you to an appropriate
specialist to further investigate the problem.
In addition to recommending chiropractic care to help correct or minimize
the cause of your headaches, Dr. Talmadge will also discuss lifestyle changes that may help as well.
Don't delay! If your
spine is the cause of your headaches, the longer you wait, the harder it will be to correct.
