Dr. Talmadge graduated from Macomb County College in 1975 with High Honors. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1980,
Magna Cum Laud, having completed 4,692 credit hours of studies and internship. Upon graduating, he immediately came
to Virginia to set up practice. He has practiced in South Boston, Hurt and Lynchburg since that time. He has been in Lynchburg
since 1991.
In addition to practicing chiropractic, Dr. Talmadge is qualified to practice acupuncture and specializes in Auriculotherapy,
thereby increasing his repetoire' of natural healing methods, so as to best serve his patients.
Complimentary education
during chiropractic college included Pierce-Stillwagon, Pettibon, Thompson, Russell Erhardt, Gonstead and advanced adjusting techniques
at Life College. Post-graduate studies include SOT / DeJarnette, extremity adjusting by Mark Charrette, Auriculotherapy (Jim
Shores, Paul Nogier,MD, Terry Oleson,Ph.D, and a Diplomate in Acupuncture from International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, 1999,
qualifying him as an Advanced Fellow in Acupuncture. He is experienced in accident cases, both automobile and work related,
and has testified as an expert witness in both courtroom and deposition settings. Dr. Talmadge comlpetes at least 60 hours of continuing
education biennially to keep informed of the best procedures and techniques.
Dr. Talmadge is a member of the Virginia Chiropractic
Association and currently serves as President of the Lynchburg Chiropractic Association.
